The Puma GTI and GTC were updates of the GTE and GTS. This redesign occured in about 1981 and introduced some different features for the Puma line. Rubber bumpers, updated front and rear body lines, updated door handles and updated interior switches were some of the more noticable changes for the cars. The basic platform of the GTI and GTC was still a modified VW Brasilia chassis with swing are suspension out back and ball joint suspension up front.
