The GTB S1 (Gran Turismo Brazil) marked a new direction for Puma with the introduction of a front-engine, Chevy-powered Puma that was officially launched into production in 1973. This happened after the 1970 Puma GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato) prototype was built and introduced to the public. These new Pumas had a 4.1 liter Chevrolet straight six engine and resembled more of a muscle car than the sleek and sexy GT and GT Spyder. One thing that did not change was the fact that the body was still made of light weight fiberglass which was the preferred method of Puma Motors. While the GT and GT Spyder were built with a minimalist perspective, the GTB was very luxurious in comparison. Features such as leather seats, power windows and power locks were options on these models. In addtion, several aftermarket companies, including Pumakit and Superclar, produced custom body parts for the Puma GTB which led to a lot of custom cars on the road.
In 1978 the Puma GTB S2 was introduced as an updated version of the GTB S1. Updates included a new front and rear facia, updated bumpers, updated glass and mirrors. The newer design had less of the muscle car appearance and embraced more of a sleek approch to auto design. This car's production run lasted until 1984. However, it was revived again in 1986 as the Asa (Wing in English). Unfortunately, this production run did not last very long and was ceased for good in 1987.
Apparently, there was a GTB S3 and S4 introduced in 1983 which was to replace the GTB S2, but these never made it into production. The GTB S3 was intended to be more competitive among the other street-performance cars, and ran on Brazilian Sugarcane Alcohol as fuel with a 4 liter motor as found in the S1 and S2. In addition, it has been rumored that the S4 sported a turbo motor and updated suspension which was a last-ditch effort to keep the GTB series alive.
In 1987 Alfa Metias assumed production for Puma and re-introduced the GTB as the GTB AMV which sported a few minor updates. This production run lasted until 1991 when the GTB line of cars was ceased for good.

Before the GTB was put into full production, there was a prototype made called the P8. From this picture, you can see that they didn't go too far from the initial design when they decided to put this coupe on the streets of Brazil.
